Prof. René Chapot – Essen / GER

René Chapot, MD, is Head of the Department of Neuroradiology at Alfried Krupp Hospital in Essen, Germany. He is a world-renowned expert in the endovascular treatment of cerebrovascular disorders including stroke, aneurysms, dural fistulae, and arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and has been instrumental in the development of many concepts and techniques for treating these conditions. He holds two device patents and has authored more than 120 publications. Dr. Chapot has authored numerous books and book chapters and has lectured internationally, often serving as faculty at various courses and symposia.

He will present an overview of various techniques throughout the field of intracranial endovascular treatments in “Endovascular Techniques Out of the Box” during Mount Sinai Neurosurgery’s Weekly TeleRounds.
